ECONOMIC IMPACT OF 

TOURISM IN SOUTH FLORIDA

Based on a recent report by Rockport Analytics, tourism in Florida has a $85.9 billion economic impact to the state,

supporting 1.5 million jobs and generating over $24 billion in local, state and federal tax revenue. Much of this is water-based tourism.  According to the Florida Legislature’s Office of Economic and Demographic Research August 26, 2019

Economic Overview, “…tourism-related revenue losses pose the greatest potential risk to the economic outlook”.
